Well It's About Time!!!!!

I won't lie to you...it was ugly...it took 11 innings and three pitchers, but the Rangers finally whooped their nemesis the LA Angels tonight!! The score was 7-6 after Alfonso Soriano popped a bloop between the Angels infield and outfield to score Mark Texeiera (pronounced TEH-shera) from second base. A while back the Rangers reeled off nine in a row which you can read about here. Since then they've managed to fall 7 1/2 games out of first place and with Oakland on a sudden winning streak, the time to solidify the division is NOW. Not in September but now. Oh, by the way, right before we started this game, the only dependable starter we have, Kenny Rogers, did this. Unacceptable...

BTW, if you were wondering who those guys in the picture are...they comprise the best infield in the majors...I defy you to find one better...

1B - Mark Texeiera
2B - Alfonso Soriano
SS - Michael Young
3B - Hank Blalock

Currently Texeiera is the frontrunner to start at first base for the 2005 AllStar Game in Detroit. The other three are in the top five in voting.

Must...Have...Starbucks...

Okay, I admit it...Starbucks has trapped my Millenium Falcon in their tractor beam. You may be asking yourself "But Mike, how do I know if I'm addicted or if I really like it a lot?" Well here's how ya know. If you cannot enjoy your coffee drink because you're already thinking about the next drink...boom, you're addicted. If you enjoy what you have and think "Wow, this is great! I might get this again!"...not an addict. Get it? Me personally, I think I fall somewhere in the middle. They have this drink, the mint mocha blended frappacino...just thinking about it turns me into Homer Simpson with his tongue hanging out and drooling. I have had more of these (3) then all other of their beverages COMBINED. Already thinking about Saturday morning when I'm going after number four.

Pac-Man is 25!!

Well, it seems like just yesterday that we were playing this game at some supermarket (for me it was Safe-Way...remember those? Didn't think so.) Anyhoo, when I read here that ol' Packie was the big 2-5, I thought about my life and how Pacman related to it. And ya know what? It was more then you might think. I remember the cartoon that came on and watching it when I was like five or six, which is a testament to me never trying pot so my memories remain intact, but that's another story. I also remember "Pacman Fever", that ridiculous song that featured the sound FX from the game. It was catchy though, nes pa'? I also remember buying some stickers that had the googly eyes...man, good times. I can't believe I'm reminiscing about all this. If you have any thoughts about this lemme know...even though I doubt anyone will read this...(sigh)

The Cereal Toys Just Keep Getting Neater

Apparently, you can have your system do over 100 things simply by talking to it courtesy of Snap, Krackle and Pop. Remember when you'd get things like stickers and maybe the occasional action figure? Oh, the times, they are a-changin'...

Lincoln Logs!!

Go get yourself a bunch of these right now! So much fun to create...well...log cabins I guess. This is what I call "Ranchman's Relaxation Paradise". Catchy, eh?

A reverse view of "Rancher's Relaxation Paradise".

This one came with the directions so I really can't take credit for it...or can I? (evil laugh)

(sigh) Okay, I'm all better now...
