New and Improved!

Well, maybe not so new...but now that I have figured out how to maximize my camera's potential, I can get a much more detailed image out of my pictures. Here are some things I have taken pictures of before and some I haven't, so hang on cuz here we go!:

Remember these guys? Not many people seem to. I found ONE of these on eBay and even though it was still in the original package, it didn't seem to spark much interest. I like 'em though.

The Autobots' answer to the Decepticon air attack, these guys don't look like much but man do they form one boss super robot. They even put their names on their wings so kids wouldn't forget their names...bunch of Einsteins they have at Hasbro eh?

Ahh, these guys. Funny thing is, if you look these guys up on eBay they're all different colors. I literally have not seen any that are the color I have. Maybe I could make some good coin on these...or I could keep them...either way I'm money.

Look who's back, the Magnificently Yellow Six. I've seen the green ones and there's even orange ones on eBay as well but I don't see the yellow ones much. If only I had the accessories...(sigh)

I have a lot more to share over the coming weeks. Right now I'm at work trying to get this done between calls and to boot the photo uploader is being...well...itself, which means I have to go one by one to upload my pics. Zach has developed a little habit of waking up at 5am...exactly...each morning. Sometimes he goes back to sleep but other times he needs to E-A-T!! That's my boy.

Zach: "Hey...how'd I get in this chair?"

It's Friday!!!

Right now it's about 50 degrees outside...extremely cloudy and dark too...perfect. Something about days like this make me kind of nostalgic about when I was a kid and we had one of those half-days of school and we got to leave at like 11:30. I remember mom picking me up one day and we went and did something fun but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was. Ah well. I know I had a great day that day. That's something we seem to have fewer of as we get older. We get so busy with one thing or another that we tend to forget how to have a great day like we used to. If I could have one thing set in stone for my kids, it would be for them to always be happy with who they are and not feel they have to change just to make someone happy. Unless it's for the better. Then I say "Change away!"

What's that? More toy pictures? More you say? Well here ya go!:

Two different kids of battle droids? One was given away with each purchase off the web site...the other was...heck, I don't know.

$4.99 at Toys 'R' Us. What's sad is you can get it for $2 on eBay ha ha.

Jar-Jar: "Me sah most annoying thing about Star Wars ever! That big honor to me sah you know. Second most irritating thing? The fact that Ewoks with sticks and rocks could take over Imperial stormtroopers in full battle armor! That makah no sense!"

This guy...um...not sure...

Don't...remember...

Here she looks hot. The costumes she wore were kind of a "drag"...get it?...ha ha

Party of the year? On the back? Let's take a look!

Um, I don't see anything about a party. Lucas, you tease.

One of the few really famous people to appear in the Star Wars films, Liam Neeson was killed off way before his time. Would have been interesting to see how he would have played in the whole Kenobi/Skywalker/Amidala triangle. Ah well. Can't win em all, right?

It's nice to win one every once in a while, right? I hope everyone finds something that holds their interest...as for me, what I really want to do is open all this stuff up and make a movie where I build sets and write a screenplay as well as going on location if it fits into the plot. My wife had to stop me from opening it up! She said "Zach will appreciate all this when he's older". And I wanna believe her, really I do. But the urge is now.

In retrospect...

...maybe I was kind of harsh on dad from my previous entry. I can't help it though. When I see how he helps out his other kids without any protest yet when I ask him ONCE for something I have to feel like a complete failure. I know I'm not, but he sure knows how to make me feel like one. So I learned a lesson: never ask him for anything ever. I cold be driving my kids to the hospital and my car could break down and the only one that could get us there would be Dad and he'd probably go "Well, you need to take better care of your car..."

Enough about him. He doesn't deserve the space.

On a lighter note, Zach has discovered something wonderful...sleeping all night!! Let's hear it for him!! (clap clap) Hmm, I'm the only one clapping...maybe I should get some more friends...more then one, right? This week I have been catching up on all the sleep I missed ha ha. I've been getting about 9 hours a night and I still wake up going "Ugh"...I'll be okay in a few days. Here are some updated pics of me boy:

Finally, he smiles without something following it! We're experimenting with some things that make him giggle...so far it's just a lot of smiling really big so he copies that.

Here is Zach's first trip to the park. Emily played, Zach slept. Hey, whatever works, right? I'm almost positive he'll have a better time here when he...walks...right?

My Site Is One Year Old Today!!

So happy birthday!! I remember thinking back to my very first post when a Yahoo! search for "Jan Brady" turned up The New Jan Brady. I checked it out and found something instead that has consumed more then a little of my time lol but has been a creative outlet for me. What's funny is Lauren (Jan) no longer accepts comments on her posts. At least not from me. It may have had something to do with me thinking she might be an alcoholic, I'm not sure. I was just kidding though.

Here are some bones to pick about life lately(the way I usually celebrate a birthday j/k):

1) We have this radio station here in DFW called the Mix. Normally they play some good tunes i.e.: Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" and the Goo Goo Dolls' "Give A Little Bit". But man do they play some of the most annoying songs (to me anyway) ALL...DAY...LONG. What songs am I referring to? Here's a list:

"You and Me" by Lifehouse <---total sellout of a song

"One Thing" by Finger Eleven <---sounds like people banging instruments together

"Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz <---this has to be the worst song ever

"Under The Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers <---dude's voice grates my ears To name a few. They claim to play the best hits of the "80's, 90's and today". But how can you do that when you have 20 songs that you play all the time!? Unfortunately there's only three stations that come in clear on my stereo at work. The other two are classical music and country music. While it would be phenomenal to combine the two, separately they just don't hold my interest.

If you've made it this far, let's wrap up this soul-baring birthday by taking a look at some toys I got from Wal-Mart which I thought were G I Joes but turned out to be knock-offs:

The Wasps

The Roos

The Orcas

The Bucks

They don't even have names!! There's three real ugly guys and they share one motorcycle! See the price in the upper right corner? Cheap as they get. If I choose to keep them, I'll definintely use them in my "movie".

Here are yet more Star Wars figures, unopened as always:

And, last but not least...the M&Ms dressed up as Star Wars characters!! Believe it or not I still have some of these to collect:

We're getting close to getting all my stuff documented. All my unopened stuff anyways heh heh. Just wait till I get my boxes of loose toys unearthed from that pit of doom also known as...the space between my fridge and worktable in the garage. Thanks for allowing me to vent my anger which, to be honest, is better then any $100 an hour shrink.

"I'm Batman"

Batman Begins

Three bucks! Can ya believe it? I guess it pays to wait until after Christmas to do your shopping! I have some other Batman toys which you can look at to the left if you look hard enough. But this one is just plain cool. Got the movie for my birthday (which I still have yet to watch) so I need someone to watch it with me.

"Does he live in a toy store?!"

The answer is...of course I do!! Gonna go to Walmart this weekend with my $100 gift card that I won at work for being literally the perfect employee. My numbers back that up anyways. Hopefully they've restocked their toy shelves so there's something good left. I told Emmy if she can be a good listener for me I would get her something. Now ordinarily I would never buy her something as a reward for being good, but sometimes ya gotta share the wealth, ya know? And now...some more toys from Mike's Garage:

Is this thing not cool? I've thought about opening it up but there's just one problem: I have no idea how to use a yo-yo.

One of the only black men to appear in the Star Wars legacy, this guy was available only through starwars.com as a freebie when you ordered a certain amount of other stuff. Lucky me, I got 2!

This thing I saw at Target years ago and thought, "You know, if I ever have kids, they'd love to play with this." Well, now I do...and they have no idea what Star Wars is. Although...Emmy and her cousin Ethan were watching Phantom Menace at their papa's house recently so she kind of knows what it is. Maybe I'll open it up someday...if eBay doesn't want it ha ha.

Here's a reverse view that tells you everything that comes with it. Do markers dry up if you never use them? Probably. Ah well. I'll go get more from Dollar Tree for...how much? A dollar?

This just might be the crown of my collection. It talks, it teaches, and I think it even plays chess! Seriously...this could only be found off the website as well. Anyone know what it's worth?

Obi-Wan to Qui Gon Jinn, come in!! These are pretty cool as well. They look just like the ones from the movie and I think they even submit DNA across outer space to check the level of...what were those things? Whatever Anakin had a plethora of...ehh, I'll look it up one of these days.

I have a few more things I'll post over the course of the year...including whatever I pick up at Walmart tomorrow. Cari is going to GG's 78th birthday party at the mysterious tea room that apparently I am not allowed to go to...ever. To take a lesson from the fox that couldn't reach the grapes: I don't want to go to your stupid party anyway! (pouts)
