"Interview With a Vampire"

Okay, maybe not a vampire but I do have an interview today at 2pm! Kind of excited about it. On the other hand, it's three months of training which means I'm sure more responsibility. But it's all good. More pay plus bonuses equals good career move. If Pharmacare would realize what they pay us is downright lousy they might keep the good people instead of the bottom of the barrel. Wish me luck!

Went to lunch at my sister's condo. I love the way she decorated it with all of her Dallas Stars 'memorabilia' and such. If I had a place like that I'm sure you know what I would do with it...

"Good To Go"

Anyone seen the Taco Bell commercials with that guy? The tech-geek who knows how to maximize quality with very little quantity...i.e. the CrunchWrap Supreme that has all your favorites wrapped and grilled so it's "good to go". I taught Emmy how to do the hand wave and say that but now all she'll say is "NOT good to go!" and laugh about it. I wish she's understand it would be so much funnier if she said it right but what can ya do with a girl who is as silly as her dad huh? I've started an epidemic at work with this. And they all know who started it! (beaming)

Emily: "Um...Zach...are you doin' what I think you're doing?"

Zach: "You're about to find out sis."

Emily: "What does that mean-eeewwwww!! Get off of me!"

Zach: "HA HA HA"

Today's moral: Never put a smiling baby on you...EVER.

Check this bad boy out. Nothing badder then a Hummer on the side of justice! Found him at Target. Sometimes they have a good selection. Just have to know when the truck comes in ha ha.

About two weeks ago my cousin Josh actually called me! You may be asking yourself what makes this so newsworthy? Because he has not called me since Thanksgiving 2003. Since that day he has not bothered to call...ever. He shut himself off not just from me but from everyone. And when I did manage to talk to him and see if he wanted to hang out he would always say "Oh I'm hanging out with my friends..." For two years I always wondered if it was something I said or did that made him dislike me so. Then...finally...about a month ago...I got the answer I had been waiting for. His mom (my aunt) told me that he was depressed about not having a family or kids so that was why he didn't want to be around me. Gee, I wish someone had told me that YEARS AGO so I didn't worry and wonder so much. Ah well. Made up my mind a few posts back I wasn't going to let him bother me anymore. So he wanted to come over and bring Zach some diapers he got through his work for like dirt cheap since he works at Cardinal Health and has access to any kind of medical supply. Sweet deal for me and his sister (my cousin) Jenny, who just had a boy of her own back in Feburary. I told her it will be nice to have someone the same age as Zach so they can play together the two times a year we see each other ha ha. Was really nice to see him though. We talked in my driveway for a while. Hopefully this will turn the tide and I will see him more then once a year.

"Time's Makin' Changes..."

Okay, so I titled a post after a Tesla song...AGAIN...but hey, sometimes you have to pay homage to the greatest hair band of the 80's right? I used to think they were...and then I found a tape I made of them years ago at of all places my grandma's house...and I listened to it...and a few of the songs were okay...but now I wonder what I ever saw in them in the first place. I guess they didn't feel they needed snazzy sound effects or synthesizers. They just went out there and played from their hearts. When they got back together a couple years ago I was thrilled. Haven't bought their new album yet...maybe I will someday.

Speaking of changes, I'm changing a few things around on my little site here. No more Simpsons quotes on the side anymore. I think I exhausted all the funny things lol. I will leave the site up for a little while which you can access at the very top. I'm thinking of replacing it with a "Toy Of The Week" feature instead since no one has bothered to visit my toy site *cry cry*. Nah, I'll be okay...I got my toys to console me right?

Check out what sprung up on my walkway this week:

The ants must think I'm Donald Trump or something!! All I need is some for sale signs and I'll be king of the ant condo market...if one existed I mean...not like they have money to pay me or anything...but what if they did? Ooh, that'd be awesome!

Check out what Target had to offer this week:

I really like the packaging of the characters by themselves. I wanted Snake Eyes but I also wanted Storm Shadow...lo and behold, here they are together! Could NOT pass it up! Brothers...on opposite sides...good times.

I need some help. What is a red-blooded American guy supposed to do when he has all this stuff around him and really wants to open it up and have some fun? What's going to be extra tough is when Zach gets cool stuff like this for birthdays and Christmas and everyone's going to be looking at me thinking "Is he going to let his only son open open it? Or will he take it from him and store it in his garage?" The answer is...um...oh, it shoudn't be this hard! I suppose he can open them...but he will have to take care of them to protect their resale value!! Just kidding little guy.

Took Emmy to the Japanese Gardens in Ft. Worth on Tuesday. Had a great time. Nothing like a lot of walking in the warm wather to tire my girl out. Was fun though. Here she is:

This is one of our favorite places. Can't wait to show Zach around. One day...one day...

"Open House"

Last night was Emmy's open house at her school. Ah, what memories that brought back. Seems just like yesterday I was at my school praying that I wouldn't get busted for something I may or may not have done. What's funny about her is at home she's a little hot-head who argues most of the time and doesn't listen a whole lot when we tell her to do something. Yet at school she is nothing short of a model student! It's like Jeckyl and Hyde with her sometimes. I hope she knows we love her more then anything though. I think the kids that are the happiest are the ones that know they are not only loved by their parents but also needed. If I couldn't see my kids every day I'd be miserable. Fortunately that's not the case though. One thing my kids will always know is they have parents who are on their side and that their home will always be a safe haven when the world seems like a tough place.

What's that? Time to unveil the newest addition to my collection? Well, if you say so!:

Saw this at Toys 'R' Us for the low low price of only $8.99! It's pretty neat cuz it's old-school looking plus it comes with: a comic book! I'll probably never see it due to the fact that I don't open anything I buy...ever! Not a lot of fun to be around, I know. I'm already dreading when my son veers out to the garage and somehow climbs up and starts opening up everything...oh, the humanity!!

"Cheaters"

Anyone watch this show? Comes on our WB affiliate 10pm Saturday nights which is a nice segue to "Saturday Night Live". Basically someone who thinks their significant other is cattin' around hires this crew to follow them around to see if their fears were justified. If they air their particular case they waive all fees associated with the surveillance. Tonight this chick who has a child with her husband decides to sneak around with a co-worker. Then, when she was busted, she could have cared less that she was about to lose her husband and daughter. How pathetic is that? People like that don't need to be having kids...ever. Trust is like ice...once it melts it's worthless. Read that somewhere...for the life of me I don't remember. You have to keep that bond unbroken. Really hard to forgive that kind of thing. And if you do, what's to prevent them from doing it again? Nothing. That's me though. Others may feel differently.

Picked up another Transformer today at Wal-Mart. There's others I would have wanted but this one is pretty awesome. Here's a full frontal shot of him:

Why would anyone choose to have a great big claw for a hand?

So, to conclude, stay true to whatever or whoever has your heart. The kingdom of Heaven does not build itself and adultery is one of the 10 no-no's.
