"Canyon Is 3!"

Yes, it has been a year already since my littlest cuz turned 2, now she is 3! Man, where does the time go, ya know? Here are a few pix:

Canyon Is 3!
Zach: "Hey Dad, are you going to have any cake?"
Me: "Um, is the Pope Catholic?"
Zach: "Um...yes?"
Me: "He is? Well that's a relief."

Canyon Is 3!
You know...as if kids needed to look any goofier...they make these glasses.

Canyon Is 3!
Dad: "Geez Mike, these goodie bags are awful! All there is is some scented potpourri in there!"
Me: "Where did you find that anyway?"
Dad: "On the nightstand in Scott and Becky's bedroom..."
Me: "Yeah, you may want to put that back before they notice it's missing."

Seeing everyone on Saturday for a clean-up/organization of Grandpa's garage. It's gonna be weird to see all that stuff and not get a little sentimental. I have been going there for 35 years and don't remember beging able to find anything in there ha ha.

"More Flags...More Fun!"

At least that's the motto for Six Flags these days. We went after Christmas and even though it was 30 degrees below zero...or 40 degrees...whichever is warmer. Who could tell? Here are a few pix:

I like this shot. They really go all out with the lights. I know Clark Griswold had 25,000 imported Italian twinkling lights on his house, but Six Flags comes awful close.

Great shot of me and young Zachary. Just wish the ol' hair was thick and wavy yes?

Another great shot of Emmy in mid-jump. What is it about freeze-frame shots that intrigue me so...

Got Canyon's 3rd birthday coming up this Saturday! Have no idea what she wants. If only we were adults inside and kids on the outside while we are growing up...then we'd have something going.

Christmas Eve 2009
If you ever lived in Texas, you'd know just how rare snow angels really are.

"It's Been A While..."

...and it's going to be a while.

Okay, not really. But it seems like I have less and less time to post on here and I need to try to rectify that. So far we have had Christmas 2009 come and go faster then I wanted to, but it's not like I have much control over that anyway, right? Here are a few Xmas pix:

Christmas Morning 2009
Zach: "Hey look Dad, Hi Ho Cherry-O! How do you play it?"
Me: "Well...um...I think it involves eating an entire jar of maraschino cherries."
Zach: "Wow, really?"
Me: "It is the way I play it."

Christmas Morning 2009
Me: "Wow, Pacman pajamas! These are great!"
Cari: "Does that gift pack come with a comb?"
Me: "Um, no, why?"
Cari: "No reason."

Christmas Morning 2009
Cari: "Hey, an iPod cradle! Now I can watch movies without having to lean over my desk at work!"
Me: "Won't that get in the way of...you know...actually working?"
Cari: "Nah."

Christmas Morning 2009
Emmy: "Hey, look at these pajamas! They look like zebraskin!"
Me: "Hmm...what are they made of?"
Emmy: "Lessee...(looks at tag)...made from 100% zebraskin...oh my goodness! Did they kill a zebra just to make these pajamas?"
Me: "Oh I'm sure the zebra was already killed by some lions when the clothing manufacturer came by and got it."
Emmy: "Oh! Whew! I feel so much better."

It was a great Christmas overall. Ever wonder what the true meaning of Christmas is? Some people I'm sure feel that the more you spend, the more you love. As for me, give me time with my kids while they're still kids and that would be better then any gift I could ever get. That time always goes by too fast and I don't want to look back at their childhoods and feel like I didn't spend enough time with them. As for now, I don't feel that way. Hopefully I never will.

P.S. Grandpa, if you're reading, I hope Christmas was cool in Heaven. Hope you got that PowerMac you always wanted.
